Indonesia Su-30s intercepted SR-20 flown by off-duty U.S. military officer

Indonesia said it had forced a FAA-registered SR-20 to land in North Kalimantan after the single-engine plane entered its airspace without authorization.

Two Su-30s were scrambled to intercept the plane and Indonesia named the pilot of the aircraft as Lt. Col. James Patrick Murphy from the “U.S. Navy.” ANTARA News said Murphy is with the U.S. Navy Reserve. He was flying solo from Hawaii to Singapore.
