Local media were invited to watch the Land-Based Phalanx Weapon System (LBPWS) defeat incoming projectiles. They then observe how the 2nd Battalion, 6th ADA relates coordinates of the rockets’ launching point are relayed to the 3rd Battalion, 13th Field Artillery for counter-fire.
Previously in the war zone, such coordinates are sent using voice commands. Now those data can be shared digitally.
