Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) signed a provisional contract with Indonesia on Nov. 22 to formalize the work share and investment arrangement for the KF-X development program.

Indonesian government will shoulder 20 percent of the cost, which is around $1.5 billion. PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) will get to design the fighter jet and produce parts in future. PTDI will own one of the six planned KF-X prototypes.
