The MQ-8C completed its three week operational assessment on Nov. 20 after flying 11 flights and clocking 83.4 flight hours in the process.

During this period, the latest iteration of the Fire Scout was tested against maritime and surveyed land targets to assess system performance, endurance and reliability of the unmanned helicopter.
Initial ship-based testing is scheduled to begin in fiscal year 2017.
