Second-generation Il-80 airborne command post ready for delivery

United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation (UIMC) has completed flight testing of a second-generation Il-80 airborne command and control aircraft and will deliver it to the military by end of this month.

U.S. Army wants open-architecture controller to protect its aircraft and tanks

The U.S. Army wants an open-architecture controller that can protect airborne, ground and maritime platforms from incoming threats. It found a solution from Lockheed Martin and the aerospace giant was given two contracts for continued development of the controller for the U.S. Army’s Modular Active Protection System (MAPS) program.
