A Chinese civilian aircraft has landed on the newly-constructed runway on Fiery Cross Reef in the Spratly archipelago and Vietnam immediately lodge a protest with the Chinese embassy.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying confirmed the test flight had taken place and “will not accept the unfounded accusation from the Vietnamese side” as the “activity falls completely within China’s sovereignty.”
