Separately, two senior Kuwaiti Military officials also confirmed the same thing to Defense News.
The news report also shed light on the delay in contract signing, which was earlier scheduled for December 2015. Apparently, Kuwait wanted to have its pilots trained in the United Kingdom but in the end, it relented and they will now be trained by Italy.
Industry sources say Kuwait could be the first export customer of the Eurofighter fitted with an AESA radar.
