An Oped on Global Times has warned South Korea not to allow the United States to deploy the THAAD air defense missile system in the country.
The warning on Jan. 27 was published in the Chinese language version of the article.
It said “South Korea should not use the THAAD deployment as a leverage against China. The deployment is a threat to China’s security. If Seoul proceeds, it will damage the trust between both countries. Seoul will have to pay the price for its actions.”
