Raytheon will throw its hat into the ring for the T-X competition on Feb. 22 by announcing its decision to become the prime contractor of the T-100 team.

The role was filled previously by General Dynamics but the company pulled out in March last year. Since then, Alenia and CAE have been sourcing for a prime contractor in its bid using the M346.
