India will test fire its K-4 intermediate-range submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBM) from a submerged platform in the Bay of Bengal sometime between Mar. 7-8.

The first test occurred nearly two-years ago and the K-4 flew for 3,000km across the Indian Ocean at that time.
Two more test firings from a pontoon are required before the missile can be fired from India’s indigenous SSBN – INS Arihant.
