The Pentagon’s Strategic Capabilities Office opened its doors to Washington Post and they played a video showing how the F-16 and F/A-18 were able to deploy micro-UAVs from their flare dispensers.
The program is given the name Perdix and each UAV was produced using 3D printing technology. Development started in 2014 and it was at exercise Northern Edge last year when extensive testing was carried out.
