Lockheed Martin has made a decision to use company funds to keep the F-16 production line alive while waiting for new orders from Pakistan and other countries.

Executive Vice President of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Orlando Carvalho, said the cost of keeping the F-16 supply chain ready for further orders was “very manageable.”
Without fresh orders, the line will have to close next year after delivering the last of 36 F-16s ordered by Iraq.
