Lockheed Martin expects to receive a contract next year to start low-rate production of a new turret for the Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS) system on the AH-64D/E.

The new turret will be easier to maintain and obsolescence parts have been switched out. An added bonus for the design is an increase in slew rate.
A new laser-pointer marker and a multimode laser with eye-safe lasing capability are included too.
