The Pentagon’s Defense Contract Management Agency told Bloomberg that it “has low confidence in Boeing’s ability” to deliver the KC-46A tanker to the U.S. Air Force on time in August 2017.

The agency now believes Boeing can only deliver the 18 KC-46As by March 2018 and there is a possibility that the new date might not be achievable as well.
A spokesman from Boeing replied to Bloomberg in an email that “[It is] making steady progress in flight test and aircraft production and believe [it is] taking the right steps to fulfill [its] commitment to the Air Force.”
