Miniature Hit-to-Kill interceptor fired from Multi-Mission Launcher

The U.S. Army’s Multi-Mission Launcher (MML) is in the spotlight again, this time it has successfully fired Lockheed Martin’s Miniature Hit-to-Kill (MHTK) interceptor at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico on Apr. 4.

Weighing five pounds and around two feet long, the MHTK is designed to defeat rocket, artillery and mortar (RAM) targets at ranges greatly exceeding those of current and interim systems.

The compact footprint of the MHTK allows multiple rounds to be packaged in a single MML tube.
