The identity of the U.S. Navy officer who was charged with espionage has been revealed. Lt. Cmdr. Edward C. Lin, a Taiwan-born EP-3 signals intelligence specialist, was accused of spying for China, USNI News reported.

Lin had been a department head for VPU-2, which is based in Hawaii, according to sources.
