The U.S. Navy has given Raytheon a $20.9 million contract to maintain and operate the AN/TPS-71 Relocatable Over-The-Horizon Radar (ROTHR) for one year with options for four one-year periods.
A total of three sites were commissioned into service from the late 1980s to 1990s. They are: Chesapeake, Virginia; Puerto Rico and Premont, Texas.
