General Atomics has confirmed that the MS-177 multispectral sensor from UTC Aerospace has been tested aboard its Avenger unmanned aerial vehicle over seven flights from January to February this year.

Chris Pehrson, the company’s senior director of strategic development, tells Flightglobal that the U.S. Air Force was pleased with the results from the testing. However, the demonstration is one-off and there is no program of record to field the sensor on the Avenger.
