Twelve U.S. lawmakers are against the plan by the U.S. Air Force to forgo a competition to replace its aging UH-1N helicopters and replace them with the UH-60.

The group also lectured the flying branch for failing to properly plan for a replacement as the requirement for a new helicopter to guard the ICBM missile fields had been known since 2002.
