The Protector unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that the British Ministry of Defense is buying has been revealed to be the Certifiable Predator B (CPB) from GA-ASI.

The information can be found in a sole-source award notification published on Apr. 24, Jane’s said.
The Certifiable Predator B is being developed by General Atomics to meet European and FAA airworthiness certification standards.
Compared with the MQ-9, the CPB has 40 percent more endurance and four extra external store stations.
