Groundbreaking ceremony for Aegis Ashore Poland

Polish and U.S. officials broke ground for the Aegis Ashore facility in Poland on May 13.

The ceremony came just one day after the Aegis Ashore site in Romania was inaugurated.

The site in Poland is part of Phased Adaptive Approach (PAA) Phase III and will defend Northern Europe using SM-3 Block IB and IIA interceptors.
