Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Turkey’s shipbuilding industry is capable of constructing its own indigenous aircraft carrier.

“There isn’t any obstacle to producing our own aircraft carrier. It is possible with this determined government and state,” Erdogan said during a ceremony to launch a corvette.
However, any such plan will have to considered after delivery of TCG Anadolu, a planned amphibious assault ship being built by the Sedef–Navantia consortium.
