The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) lost contact with one of its Fuji VTOL unmanned aerial vehcile off the coast of Fukui province at around 10:15 local time on Jun. 21.
The rotor-craft had been airborne for 75 minutes as part of a training flight. Up to forty people have been mobilized to search for the missing aircraft.
