F-22 pilot with the most hours flew his final flight as 477th FG commander

U.S. Air Force Col. David Piffarerio, with 1,540 hours on the F-22, has flown his final flight on the jet as the commander of 477th Fighter Group on Jul. 8.

The 22-year veteran has been flying the F-22 for the past 14 years and was the first U.S. Air Force F-22 pilot to cross the 1,000 hour mark back in 2011.
