Over the next three years, the U.S. Marine Corps will rotate 147 of its CH-53Es to MCAS Miramar; New River; and Kaneohe Bay for technicians to strip down the rotor-craft, rebuild them and swap out high time components.

Each aircraft will spend an approximate 110-days in the hangar for the reset process and there will be 16 CH-53s undergoing reset at the peak of the program.
