Germany in talks with Turkey to keep Tornados in Incirlik

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said her government is in discussions with Turkey to allow a contingent of Tornado ECR jets to remain in Incirlik Air Base.

Ties between both countries have been strained recently and Turkey blocked German lawmakers from visiting the German troops in June.

However, Merkel signaled that she expects the reconnaissance missions carried out there to continue.
