The Mexican Navy took delivery of the first AS565 MBe variant on Sept. 28. Being the launch customer, the service ordered 10 helicopters in 2014.

Three are to be delivered before the end of the year and the remaining six by early 2018.
The AS565 MBe comes with a new Safran Arriel 2N engine that improves its performance in hot & high conditions and enable it to achieve a top speed of 278 km/h and a range of 780 kilometers.
