The Nikkei is reporting that India will go ahead and approve the purchase of 12 US-2 amphibious aircraft from Japan on Nov. 7.

The Defense Acquisitions Council, chaired by Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar, will meet to give the green light.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is then expected to sign a memorandum of understanding for the purchase during his visit to Japan later this week.
