During a demonstration at China Lake in October 2016, three Super Hornets released 103 Perdix mini-uavs and the drones then later flew together as a swarm.
“The micro-drones demonstrated advanced swarm behaviors such as collective decision-making, adaptive formation flying, and self-healing,” the press release said.
