Sankei news reports that the joint British-Japanese technical feasibility study for the Joint New Air-to-Air Missile (JNAAM) will be completed by this year.

So far, preliminary research found that the JNAAM could be the world’s top air-to-air missile if both sides decide to pursue the development program.
The JNAAM will attempt to merge the AESA missile seeker from Japan’s AAM4B missile on the MBDA Meteor body.
