Taiwan has deliberately disclosed that a PAC-3 unit is now deployed to Taitung on the east side of the island.

The video showed Defense Minister Feng Shih-kuan touring various units across the island prior to the start of Chinese Lunar New Year.
Captions in the video revealed which units he toured.
PAC-3 units in Taiwan have 3-digit numbers starting with 63. Previously, Patriot units are deployed to the north and south of the country to defend against any missile attacks from China.
The deployment to the east coast could be to counter any move from China’s warplanes and aircraft carrier which were observed off the eastern side of the country recently, Hroung Tsicheng reports.
