A joint program management office for the KF-X/IF-X fighter program was declared open in Sacheon, South Korea on Feb. 8. The office is run by both Indonesia and South Korea.

The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) says PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) has dispatched 74 personnel to South Korea for this project.
The program is expected to finish the design phase next year and the prototype will make its maiden flight in 2021 or 2022.
