Chairman of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd said on Feb. 17 that the state-own company is likely to complete certification of the HTT-40 basic trainer in 2018.

“We are trying to take a managerial decision in the middle of this year and by next year complete the certification process,” T Suvarna Raju was quoted as saying.
He added that once the flight envelope of the aircraft has been determined, HAL could start limited series production by end of the year.
