The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is expected to arrive off the eastern part of South Korea on Apr. 25, South Korean officials disclosed.

The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group is on a regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment as part of the U.S. Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of U.S. 3rd Fleet. The group is heading northwards towards Korean Peninsula and the Yomiuri Shimbun reported on Apr. 16 that Chinese and Russian spy ships are shadowing the American warships.
