In a commentary on May 27, Global Times said Beijing will soon be able to send ships and aircraft to U.S. territories in response to Freedom of navigation (FON) operations conducted by the Pentagon in China’s territories.

It added that since the United States insists on carrying out FON operations, China has the right to reciprocate as well.
