China today revealed another J-15 carrier-borne fighter accident that took place in April last year. It was well known that a fatal crash occurred that month and took the life of pilot Zhang Cao.

PLA Daily said in the article on page 3 of today’s edition that Cao Xianjian had to eject on Apr. 6 and sustained serious injuries.
He was recently carrier qualified after spending nearly a year in hospital and undergoing two surgeries.
