An armed pro-Syria regime unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down over southern Syria on Jun. 8 by a fighter aircraft, the Pentagon announced.

Military.com reported that the fighter was a U.S. Air Force F-15E.
The UAV was attacking a position occupied by coalition personnel who are training and advising partner ground forces before it was shot down.
