The U.S. Missile Defense Agency and the Israel Missile Defense Organization plans to test the Arrow anti-ballistic missile system in Alaska next year.

The testing was disclosed by Adm. James Syring, director of the U.S. Missile Defense Agency, last week.
Syring told lawmakers that Israel faced “significant range constraints within the Mediterranean” and bringing the test to Alaska would overcome that.
State-owned Alaska Aerospace Corp. CEO Craig Campbell confirmed that negotiations are being carried out to conduct the Arrow test.
