Nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower is making a port call in Halifax from Jun. 28 to Jul. 1 to participate in the celebration of Canada Day.
“This is an acknowledgment of our respect and our celebration with you for Canada 150,” commander of Carrier Strike Group 10, Rear Admiral Jim Malloy said.
This is also the first time in 17-years that an aircraft carrier visits Halifax.
