The Czech Republic could become the first foreign operator of the Bell UH-1Y twin-engine, medium-sized utility helicopter after the Trump administrator cleared the sale of 12 rotorcraft on Oct. 23.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency said in Transmittal No: 17-47 that the “Czech Republic intends to use these helicopters to modernize its armed forces and strengthen its homeland defense and deter regional threats.”
