A South Korean lawmaker has exposed that Indonesia’s state-owned PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) has failed to pay $124.5 million for the participation in the KF-X fighter program.
“If Indonesia does not pay in time, the Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) has to shoulder the burden of 40 percent of the development costs,” Rep. Kim Jong-dae of the Justice Party said.
PTDI signed up for the KF-X program in 2016 and agreed to pay 20 percent of the development costs. Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) took up the other 20 percent with the rest shouldered by Seoul.
