A new taxiway has been built at Changi airport for the upcoming Singapore Airshow next year.
Previously, aircraft being exhibited at the show will land at Changi’s runway 02R/20L before being towed to the show site. However, that strip of asphalt is currently closed due to the construction of the new terminal 5 at the international airport.
The latest satellite imagery from Google shows a new taxiway under construction north of runway 02C/20C. Its an extension from taxiway EP and turns eastwards to join Aviation Park road. It then goes south to a new taxiway that runs parallel to Aviation Park road for approximately 1km before rejoining back to public road. This is probably done to reduce congestion Aviation Park road.
From there onward, the way to the show site is similar to the route that was used previously.
