X-2 managed to collect most flight data with 34 flights, RCS perform better than expected

A Japanese defense official told Bradley Perrett of Aviation Week that the X-2 stealth demonstrator has collected more of the data required with just 34 flights.

The same person added that the jet’s XF5 engines performed better than expected in challenging high angle of attack regime. The article also reported that “radar signature was one area of outperformance.”
