Personnel at RAAF Base Darwin were operating at “increased readiness” earlier this month when a pair of Russian Tu-95MS bombers were in neighboring Indonesia.

USS Wasp makes port call in Hawaii as the ship sails towards Japan
USS Wasp arrived in Hawaii on Dec. 28 to make a port call. The ship is making its way to Japan to replace USS Bonhomme Richard as the 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed amphibious assault ship.

Indian Air Force retires MiG-21 T-96, MiG-27ML
The Indian Air Force retired the MiG-21 T-96 and MiG-27ML on Dec.29. The final flight of the MiG-21 T-96 was flown by air force chief Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa at Nal airbase in Rajasthan.
