Airbus acknowledged on Jan. 13 that its subsidiary Matra Défense S.A.S. has been ordered to pay an arbitral award of $126 million to Taiwan for breach of contract in the supply of missiles to the island.

Commissions were paid during the sale of 60 Mirage 2000 fighters to the country in the 1990s and Taiwan is seeking legal means to claw back the money. So far, Dassault, Thales and Safran were found guilty.
