South Korea will soon kick off a plan to buy as many as 40 Boeing AH-64 attack helicopters, Defense News reports.
To fund for the procurement, the military might cut the number of K2 main battle tanks that it had planned to acquire earlier on.
South Korea’s defense strategy has also shifted towards using helicopter assaults to quickly gain territory in a conflict the North Korea.
