The ILA Berlin Air Show will take place from Apr. 25-29 and France’s Defense Minister has indicated that the “first significant step” in the joint development of a new fighter with Germany will take place during the trade show.

Florence Parly had told La Tribune newspaper that an announcement will be made at the show.
A French defense ministry source disclosed that a 10-page document that sets the jet’s operational requirements will be signed in Berlin.
The same source added that the new fighter will only be delivered in 2040.
