South Korea’s Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd (KAI), which is bidding for the lucrative U.S. Air Force T-X jet trainer contract, has admitted that it paid $150,000 for consulting services on accounting matters to U.S. President Donald Trump’s private lawyer Michael Cohen’s firm.
A spokesperson from KAI said the contract with Cohen’s entity was legal. KAI’s partner in the T-X bid – Lockheed Martin – said the company is unaware of the arrangements between KAI and Cohen’s firm.
