Asia Maritime Transparency Initiative has released satellite images showing Philippine’s attempt to repair the western part of its airstrip on Thitu Island in the Spratly Archipelago.
Two barges were seen anchored off the island from May 17 and freshly-deposited sand can be seen on the north western part of the airstrip, which collapsed into the sea years ago.
