Vietnam veteran Col. George “Bud” Day was posthumously advanced to the rank of brigadier general during a Heritage to Horizons summer concert series at the Air Force Memorial in Arlington, Virginia, Jun. 8.

RoCAF Taitung Chih Hang Air Force Base open day application process for foreigners

The Republic of China Air Force (RoCAF) is planning an open day at Chih Hang Air Force Base in Taitung on Jul. 14. Foreigners who wish to enter the base will have to apply for security clearance.

Lawmakers suggest replacing MH-53E with CH-53K

The U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee has included language in the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act asking the U.S. Navy to submit a report on the “feasibility and impact of recapitalizing the MH–53E fleet with a derivative of CH-53K.”
